Try to pinpoint what your fears are so that you can ask specific questions. If you are going to an endo center, they will answer your questions, but also talk with the doctor who will be performing your procedure as soon as possible. Don't wait to ask the doctor on the day of the procedure. Generally the doctor and the staff at the center are very responsive--and they have worked with a lot of patients who have your same concerns and fears. However, every so often you'll run into a doctor and center that will give you the brush off. If you run into that, you may want to consider rescheduling with a different doctor and center. And remember that MOST people find colonoscopies to be pretty easy. It's a vital test to have. Let this board know how you do on the 8th.
