If you can't find a caring, careful doc who will will do your screening colonoscopy either drug-free or with painkiller only on demand (fentanyl)....find another doctor.....they are using "amnesia" drugs like versed (terrible" and propofol) just to make you imobile and induce "amnesia"..........many other countries do colonoscipies drug-free or with minimal amounts of pain meds............in the usa: big shot of Versed so he/she is a limp piece of meat (with or without amnesia-roll the dice).....do the colonoscopy quickly and roughly and as fast as possible....sorry,, not for me and I'm an RN.........
