Did anyone have this problem? I was scheduled to have a colonoscopy 2 weeks ago...had it and it went fine. But.....before I had it done, I asked the doctor what the total for this proceadure would cost...I dont make much $$ so I wanted to know what to expect for aprox total bill. He said 2300 - 2500.00......Well I went...he did remove 2 polyps. My bill ended up being 5000$ +!!!!! I am enraged as they should have told me a better estimate than 2500$ ! The hospital portion was 2000 more than what they told me it would be too! I mean they do this everyday...I am a healthy 34 year old male....no other problems. I had a little blood in my stool and thought I would go to be safe. If I would have know I would have waited....I feel they knew the whole time what they were telling me.
