Posted by Clem I will have to say that I was recommended to this particular GI doc by my own PCP, who is young and good (still concerned about his patients), and who stated emphatically that this was the guy he would send his mother/family to. In my case, for the colonoscopy, it was a good call.

I heard nothing, and the procedure area was around the corner, although there was a door between the waiting room and the procedure area. I watched at least 2 people leave before I went in, and both came out looking pleasantly woozy-goofy, and definitely not traumatized. I've come to think that's a good measure of the competence of the facility.
