The people/place you went to should be reprimanded. They were inexperienced if not incapable. Bumping the table was absolutely unnecessary. I know it is difficult to leave a test and have to reschedule, etc., because you really want to just get it over with. However, it was mental and physical trauma that you didn't need. So the male doc thought you had more pain than he expected...what did he expect? He probably made you feel like it was YOUR fault that you had pain...that's the standard answer. There are women who have experienced very little, if any, pain with a sterotactic and that should have been your experience as well. I get so angry when I hear reports like this from women--we are being given substandard care. And most docs and other medical techs, etc., know that we will grit our teeth and take it because we are so terrified of breast cancer. I've even been told--it was painful, but we didn't find anything, so don't you just feel great! These people should be put through exactly the procedure they just asked you to endure.

Jeanne, you deserve a special medal for putting up with an inhumane and needlessly painful biopsy. You endured something that shouldn't have happened in the first place.
