Had my first one last week, I insisted on being totally asleep rather than light sedation. The doctor didn't like it but too bad. I've learned (from these postings in part) that most doctors are simply unconcerned with patient comfort and that they tend to lie to us. My test went well - I was awake, then sleep then awake again and every thing was over with. I would recommend it to anyone, BTW - I was totally clear, no polyps or any other problem. Worth doing but do it your way.
