Posted by Karma I was totally awake throughout the procedure. Anyone I know that has had a colonoscopy doesn't remember their experience and said it was a breeze. The Dr. should be up front with patients about this and tell that patients that they would be given pain relief as needed. There is clearly a miss-communication in these types of colonoscopies!

I was told I'd be totally knocked out and would not feel, hear or see anything and most of all not to remember having gone through that procedure. That was not what I got for the services I requested at the hospital.
