Hello, Dennis. My doctor has told me that sometime after I turn 50 in November, he wants to refer me for a colonoscopy. After reading various websites, I found your message about doing it without the sedation. I'm thinking that I would prefer that, too. How did it go with your doctor when you asked for it that way? Should I expect to have to argue the point, or should a simple request be enough? Actually, ever since my doctor mentioned the colonoscopy, I've been feeling uneasy about it. Any information you could provide would probably help. Thank you.
