A 32 year old lab technician has been fired from his post at the Louisville Cancer Research Clinic following and incident where a woman was sexually assaulted by a robot which was controlled remotely by the human assailant, a court in Louisville was told today. Michelle Marquez, 23, of Chatanooga, Tennessee had been attending the clinic for a routine breast examination when the incident occurred. It is normal practice at the clinic for women to be examined by a robotic hand following a spate of lawsuits in California in 2003 where women undergoing mammograms claimed doctors had made bawdy comments and/or used seemingly inappropriate examination techniques. Mark Forrester, who holds degrees in both electronic engineering and nursing had altered the robotic arm to include extra length and axes, effectively humanising the machine. His explanation for the modifications was that the new arm was more sensitive and allowed easier negotiation around the curved landscape of the mammary glands. On the day in question, he began the exam by remote control from behind a glass panel. Speaking from the witness box, Ms. Marquez said "I have been examined by the robot before and I found it excellent. But this was entirely different, the movement of the robot was like a human hand and more caressing than checking. The hand was cupping, groping and tweaking my nipples. The pace of the examination became frenetic until it actually began to hurt. Doug Frier of the American Medical Association, said that the introduction "That was the reason we got the robots in. But now they're doctoring the Amongst the options currently under consideration is using robots to Michelle Marquez added "Since the incident I have been unable to have intimate relations with my partner and I suffer recurrent nightmares in which I am sexually humiliated by androids". The trial continues.

When the hand began to explore other areas of my body I realised something was wrong. When I looked up at the screen he (Forrester) was leering with a remote control in one hand and I couldn't see the other"

robots to molest these women instead. We are now going to have to phase them out altogether but my guess is this problem will get much, much worse before it gets better".
control another robot to perform the exam and thus keeping humans out of the picture altogether.
