Fellow baseball junkies,
The day at Shea Stadium has been salvaged for 2003.
The event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17. The cost is $400 this year because the Mets are charging higher field costs.
It is a charitable contribution. The bulk of the money goes to former Met Ron Hunt for his baseball academy in Missouri.
Each of the four teams gets to play two games on the clock. The time is a little less than two hours per contest.
If you want to play, send the check in right away. It's first come, first serve.
Mail the $400 check made out to Ron Hunt Eagles Baseball Association to:
