I agree with the both of you. I believe that Ford should not be blamed for the problems of an entire community. He had a plan to start a company and make money, he did just that. Yes, he told the workers he would provide them with decent wages and he did. Those workers were getting better wages than people who were employed elsewhere, $5 a day, and they should have taken advantage of the situation. They could have been saving their money and they would not have been completely poor in the end. I believe the downfall of the community should not be the responsibility of one person. Especially since that person tried to be fair to his community by giving higher wages and more hours.
