The letters all seemed to be pleading with the president for help. I could not help but think of all the people in New Orleans and how they are begging and pleading for homes as well as food and clothing. Yes, the depression was something totally different, but it seems as if the states that were hit by Katrina are in a depression of their own and can not get the government help that they are asking for.
