I agree that they had nothing. Even though it was private property, I think the authorities took it too far when they opened fire and hosed them down with ice cold water. Tear gas was a reasonable response but to shoot these people that are starving and dirt poor? That went a little too far. One thing that was not brought up in class was that many of the people shot, were actually shot in the back which makes me think they were already leaving or heading back. I just that was a little interesting fact they put in the video and I was surprised no one mentioned it in our discussion.
