I don't blame FDR one bit. If I was in his shoes I would have done the exact same thing. The people in power should stay in power and the people in there way will be pushed down by that power. If it was a matter of votes then I would be doing the same, but it was also a matter of rebuilding the country. As long as the powerful were happy then they would be spending their money and helping to boost the economy. Also in the government giving money to the landowners it allowed for supply and demand to come into effect in turn helping the economy. The whole point of the New Deal was to help the economy and the people. This was just one incidents in which FDR wasn't able to help these people, but he was able to help millions others with such things as the CCC and others. If the sharecroppers were worried about money they could have moved on and joined one of these programs. We have to look at the good side of the New Deal.
