i think racism is still prevelent today but not to a high degree. i dont think wages play a role in racism, i think it is a little deeper than that, more pyschological. we have never had a female president and or a minority as a president. we cant have a minority as president because they would not be born a u.s. citizen. i feel with men in charge, even though i am one, i dont see women ever getting the same wage as men. it is more an ego thing. the male species likes to be the dominant player and will never step aside so that the women can make more money. i think there is competition in households where the wife is the breadmaker.
