The most important thing to note is that FDR was no different then any other politician. He tried to appeal to the majority or at least the majority that have voting rights. FDR wasn't put in a good position to begin with. Programs that he enacted helped get the economy, lower unemployment and enable us to go farther with new roads and entertainment venues. People constantly complain former presidents for not doing enough, but how much can one person do? When one person sees a particular group getting more attention it is easy to point fingers and say he isn't doing enough, but no matter some one is always going left out.
