At the end of class we started to discuss the quote said in the movie about democracy, but it didnt really get going into a discussion. I completely believe what was said by that quote. Democracy is where people are represented and given a vote in what happens and does not happen in our country. I believe Democracy is special and we as Americans dont exercise what we have here, that many nations do not have, yet alot of us dont even go out and vote for who we want to serve for us. The steel workers realized what can happen when they vote for the people they want to serve them, and when they did vote they got what they wanted, being a union. I dont understand why every American doesn't go out and vote because by not voting Americans leave dicisions up to the government, and that is not having everyones voice heard as a democratic government implies.
