The question raised was whether or not protestors are agreeing to risk/lose their lives by participating in a protest. I think that in a way, they are accepting that risk just because they know it is a possibly that they could be severely injured. However, I do not think that this is what should be. We should not even have to discuss this in the first place. People should be able to peacefully protest freely without the fear of violence.
We discussed how often times, there will be people put in the middle of the protest to instegate the people into turning violent. This is RIDICULOUS! What is the point? If people want to peacefully gather to show their protest and their views, then we should let them.
So yes, protestors should take into consideration that they may be severely injured or even killed by protesting, just because it has happened so many times previously. So in that sense, it is their responsibility to take. But, in the end...it is wrong. This should not even be an issue.
