I also agree, people should be able to protest with out the worry of biolence of being killed. I think they were so desperate that they really had nothing to lose. However, if the protest gets taken out of hand and the people lose control and start violence, then the police need to react and react quick. But I think in this case the police took their power out of hand and only did it because they could; which is obviously completely wrong.
