I believe that life was hard during the war, but I think that african american women had the most problems. They were able to work but they didn't even earn as much as the white women even though they worked as many hours. Also it was hard for these women to balance their work schedule and their home. The black women did not have child care centers to take their children to while they worked like the white women did. They also didnt have certain things like washing machines to make cleaning and taking care of their home easier. This time in their life was very difficult as black women had to try their best to work, keep their households in order and cook for and take care of their children and husbands.
