I thought that the movie we watched today in class did portray the women as a gorgous, dreamy, person that everyone hoped they could be. However, I also thought that most of the commercials were targeted towards women as their main consumers for other reasons. It almost seemed as if the advertisers thought it was easier to "brainwash" women and aimed most of their advertisiments toward them. For women spending money on these "great items" expressed themselves as free women. When women bought these items they were showing off their freedom to the rest of the world.
