Chronology of Violence and Intimidation in Mississippi

I found these charges to be very intersting. One of them read that two Negro leaders were arrested for a protest. This didnt seem too uncommon to read. The one that I read that seemed very uncommon was 3 people were arrested and spent a month in jail for charges of breach and failure to obey a police officer. It seems like the charges being made were very extreme and taken out of control. The one that seemed really ridicluous was when a Negro had been shot and killed by a white person, and nothing was done to the white person because they said the white had shot in self defense. It seems like racism is a never ending issue.
