I just wanted to continue on the discussion in class yesterday. I have had several friends that have not been given the oppertunity, either financially permitting or academically, to go go college. Several of them have chosen to participate in the military effort for these advantages. All I am saying is that not everyone involved in the war effort WANT to be there,though we do not have a draft. And this also changes for many of the people that think that they want to be there and then realize that it really is not for them. What I am trying to say is the draft is not the answer, but just because we dont have one doesnt mean that we are more motivated.
