I also didn't get a chance to put in my personal opinion about people in the military and people in college. One of my closest friends from high school signed with the army because she has 4 kids in her family and lives in a single parent home. She knew it was the only way she'd be able to afford a higher form of education. Her older brother also did the same thing. Their entire college career is paid in full. She hasn't been shipped out but she does have to go to boot camp and training all the time. She doesn't want to be shipped out and is scared to death that one day she might. But this was a risk she was willing to take to ensure education for the future.
