To tell you the truth, the college education today is the high school diploma of the past. So many people are starting to go to college that the undergraduate degree you'll be getting for Northern is comparitive to the high school diploma from years ago. In a few years, a Master degree maybe required to get a well paying job. As for sending "non-educated" civilians into the army, this idea is also not true. Many people who joing the army do it for different reasons; such as the oppertunity for a paid college education, or a the ability to serve their country. I have had many friends who went from high school to the army and marines who are all very smart and not poor, so the idea that only dumb people go in the army is politically incorrect.
