While it is a possibility, I don't think it is a very likely one. While we're very dependant upon oil now, I think in 15-20 years that dependance will decrease and alternatives will become more viable. I think the US knows just how far it can stretch it's troops as well, so I doubt we would get involved in too many wars. We just need another president to control spending and decrease the defecit (and hopefully create a surplus like Clinton).
