I was shocked to hear that the US was responsible for putting Saddam Hussein in office. We did this to have him kill our enemies and now we are are responsible for putting him on trial for war crimes. I just think that it is ironic. It is almost as if we created a monster. We did nothing to stop him from using chemical weapons on our enemies but when we thought that he was going to attack us we finally decided to do something to stop him. We can't have it both ways.
