It's not just a big learning process, it's a neverending one. There is no way we could learn everything we need to. It's almost garunteed that the next president will make mistakes as well, and we'll have to learn from those. The world evolves, new problems arise, and we have to figure out how to solve the problems, sometimes through trial and error and making mistakes.
