I think we should try to create or establish peaceful communication with Iran in order to get close enough to try to work out a solution to them stopping. America, from my point of view, seems to talk down to other countries that are less than them and make threats which I believe angers the Middle Eastern countries and other countries who already harbor “ill will” towards the US. I believe Iran is more receptive to talks unlike the dictator Saddam was. However, the mistakes the US should not threaten war on the country or decide to invade the country like with Iraq. They should work in Iran to help them with their nuclear research all at the same time keeping an eye on their development first hand. In addition, it should be a decision made by congress as to either go to war with Iran or use any force since Iran is a farther developed country than Iraq was at the time we attacked. This is why History and history class is so crucial to all Americans in that we all have a chance to analyze past triumphs and mistakes and learn and grow from them. Because as the saying goes, especially with the whole Iraq war/mistake, “Those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.”
