Dear Homeschoolers,
The fall tournament is quickly approaching. I'm willing to coach again for the upcoming tournament on Thursday, October 31st. Once I get the responses, I can figure out what teams we can put together. Everyone is welcome; no experience required. All the teams are coed. If your children are interested please send me their names and birthdays. The cutoff date for birthdates has switched to September 1st (see below). Please forward this to any other homeschoolers who might be interested. I will most likely do the practices similar to last time on Saturday afternoons around 3-4:30 at AG Wright Middle School. Depending on the age group of the teams it may have to be lengthened. I plan on having the first practice this Saturday ( the 7th). Don't worry if you can't make it.
Sincerely,
Rich Blank
More information about the tournament is below and available at www.hspn.net:
Pre-registration for the fall tournament is now underway through September 30th. Official registration runs through October 18th which involves paying entry fees and submitting rosters. To pre-register, simply send an e-mail to the HSPN Director. In your e-mail, include the number of teams you plan to bring to the tournament. All teams are co-ed and follow these age divisions:
U-8 "Beginner" (ages 5-7)
U-10 (ages 8 & 9)
U-12 (ages 10 & 11)
U-15 (ages 12 - 14)
U-19 (ages through 18)
Eligibility rules:
1. A player is eligible for a particular age group based upon his age as of September 1st, 2002. For example, if "Susie" is 11 years old on September 1st, but turns 12 on September 2nd, she is still eligible to play on the U-12 team.
2. An eligible player must be a full-time home educated student
except...
when attending community college as dual-enrolled student working towards completing high school requirements.
