All art classes will be held in my finished basement. There will be
between six and ten children in each class. We will be creating art based on
the art concepts of line, shape, color, texture, pattern and the principles
of design. I will be teaching students right brain thinking/drawing skills,
observational and perceptual skills. We will use contour line, create
values, use positive and negative shapes, proportion, etc.to draw individual
images and create complex compositions We will be drawing from life
(self-portraits, people, still life, etc.) as well as our imaginations. We
will be exploring various drawing and painting media as well as three
dimensional media and printmaking. Students will be challenged for their age level and abilities. Older children¹s classes will also be using the
computer, etc. to create mixed media pieces.
If you have any questions concerning the content of the classes or
facilities, please call me. Classes are $5.00 per hour class and a 10%
discount is applied to families with more than one child enrolled. Payment
for each month is due the first class of the month. Some students prefer to
start classes after fall sports. Please let me know if you would like to
start in October or November. I will be happy to put your child in a class
if there¹s space. Students will be continuous enrolled month to month unless you let me know otherwise. The age groups and times will be:
PreK (3-5 year olds). Students must be potty trained and ready to be away
from mom for an hour. We really explore art media and learn the technical
skills of cutting, drawing, building, and painting as well as the skills
listed above.
Elementary I: K - 2nd grades
Elementary II: 3rd - 5th grades
Middle school: 6th - 8th grades
Homeschool kids (K - 2nd grade) and (3rd - 6th grade)
High School (will be offered from 3:30 - 4:45 on Mondays if there¹s
enough interest)
MONDAYS
Class I: PreK on Mondays from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. If I have enough interest
for more than one class, I will open another session. Please call if
interested.
Class II: Homeschool 3rd - 6th grades on Mondays from 2:15 p.m. - 3:15
Class III: Middle School on Mondays from 5:00 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Class IV: Homeschool K - 2nd on Tuesdays from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Class V: Homeschool 3rd - 6th on Tuesdays from 2:10 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
(6.50 per class)
Class VI: Elementary I on Tuesdays from 4:25 p.m. - 5:25 p.m.
Class VII: Elementary II on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
