I'm not surprised to hear that about Sokolov. He was mistreating his horse there in a manner that even a non-rider like myself could tell. He got into a screaming match (actually, he was doing all the screaming) when he wanted to move our "battalion" before the battle even began. Our divisional commander came over and said, "if you want something done in MY division, you talk to ME." He rode off bellowing as we stiffled giggles. But I suppose that as long as he brings so many men to events the organizers are going to indulge him till someone gets killed.
