There are three people depicted on this pin Napoleon, Marie Louise , and “Clergy” ?, or there is another reference to a Emperor F 11 may be Francis 11. See Latin Inscription reference below. If you know please let me know. I know his last Victory was Prussian at The Battle of Dresden in August 1813 where with his last reserve of men he defeated the Austrian, Prussian, and Russian forces. The Troops had to leave Russia because of the hard winter. Then things went down hill. This may have been a Commerative Celebrating The Victory. I also read reference to Concordat of Fontainebleau which was trying to Organize Religion, I guess when Your The Conqueror, of so many Countries, so quickly, it takes awhile for the Religions of those Individual Countries to catch up with the Will of The New Emperor. Marie was Napoleon ‘s second wife and “Love”. Marie Louise from Austria, her father was Francis 1 Emperor of Austria. Marie and Napoleon were married on April 2, 1810 in Paris at the age of 19.She bore Napoleon a son and heir who would have been the Emperor of Rome, and was the 1st of Napoleon’s wives to become Empress of France. I am selling it anyway, I’ve read so much it would just be nice to know. The pin is in Fine Condition, Patina in as found condition. Purchased Estate Sale on Martha’s Vineyard. My name is Debra . I am selling a Antique Napoleon Pin c.1813 on Ebay #7382322470. This is so you can look at it and hopefully answer a couple of Questions, even though I am selling it. I would still like to know what it represented . I have narrowed it down to two possibilities Francis 11 Alliance or because of the Religious Strife ? Was there a Parade?
Writing around the outside of the pin is in Latin, Everything is all in upper case lettering some of it is smaller my computer will not due that , I’ll do my best to present it , Please refer to the pictures. I know he was not Emperor long after they were married, I don’t know how many busts, Marie’s face graced, while she was Empress of France.

SGD? The question mark is because I cannot see the letter because of how it is attached to the front part of the pin. Please refer to the pictures. The pin, on the clasp is constructed with a little safety lock, See Pictures also it is written RANCE on the small part you pull out to release the pin, the F was probably taken off during production of this piece. I cannot find any makers mark or metal mark. Unless ?REVE and SGD?. The face looks like aged Sterling or Pewter ? .
