I would like to sell my Napoleonic light cavalry sabre which was custom made for me by Dennis Graves (No Quarter Arms, LLC). It is truly a wonderful piece. It has a cut steel hilt patterned after a Polish Hussar original. The blade and scabbard came from a Dixie Gun Works civil war saber, which Dennis shaped and modified. The steel scabbard was also modified. I never used the saber, although I originally wanted to employ the sword as part of my historical fencing demos. The blade if quite sharp. The sword weighs less than two pounds and is very well balanced. This is unique and quite a step above most commercially available Napoleonic reproductions. It would be appropriate for War of 1812 reenactments, as well. The finish on the steel hilt is satin with some very minor pitting in only a small section, which would be somewhat normal. The scabbard has some very small dents and scuff marks. In other words, the sword and scabbard are in excellent shape, but not perfect; this sword would have been a "user", not a fancy dress sword. I would like to get $700 for this wonderful sword. For those of you who are familiar with Dennis Graves work, you will not be disappointed; he was quite pleased himself with this project.
For serious inquiries, I will send you images via email.
Thank you,
John McCoy
