Just as a follow-up, the event went off without a hitch, the organizers were excellent hosts as always, the weather perfect and no hassles at the border. It's a long haul for many, but I can recommend it in 2008 when they next hold the "Battle for Fort William." What rationale for Imperial troops you ask? The setting was August, 1814 so since l'Empereur has already abdicated we told the public we were just staying sharp till he returns in the Spring. And no one batted an eye.
