Posted by Roger Kirwin Delighted to see you all again at Old Bedford Village last weekend. Fine Waterloo weather on the Friday and Saturday eh? I trust you all managed to stay dry - that's one of the advantages of a reenactment at Old Bedford Village, leave the canvas at home as we have billets a plenty! Sunday's tactical earned considerable praise from OBV staff / volunteers and public alike. A tip of the hat to Ken Hall for his considerable expertise in planning the event before hand and then having to plan it all over again upon arrival at Bedford when the rains came.... and congratulations to his re-election as BN President. Well done everyone, a good event amidst adverse weather conditions and thank you for sweeping out the billets, much appreciated. Haste ye back to Bedford Link: http://oldbedfordvillage.com

Dear Members of Brigade Napoleon,
Slim reenactor numbers they may have been, the quality of the tactical shone brightly incorporating as it did, infantry, cavalry and period civillian pieces / vignettes. I've seen the public walk away nonplussed from 800 reenactor Civil War tacticals at the Village after 10 minutes - Last Sunday's tactical ran almost 50 minutes and not a single member of the public left! It had it all, shooting, horses, alcohol, looting, soldier's abuse of civillians, civillian's abuse of soldiery and even period flirting - those Kiev Grens. can't trust 'em around a lady !!!
