The NPS & St Bernard Parish have announced the official dates for the annual Battle of New Orleans event at Chalmette Battlefield: 12-15 January 2007.
Many British units are able to historically participate and French units can also when portraying part of Plauche's Battalion on the US side.
The event is coming back to normal with a school day on Friday, evening Lantern Tour on Friday, evening Battle Reenactment at nearby Packenham Oaks (shuttle buses provided), daytime living history and Memorial Ceremonies, and water, straw, port-o-lets, and most meals provided.
ALL units or individuals must first register with the NPS.

Attendees last time at the Jan 2006 event were almost put to tears with the overwhelming gratitude displayed by the local residents.
