Posted by Tim Strain As Lt Col B. stated, French units are more than welcome (we're still using Old Guard uniforms). A number of members of Plauche's were Napoleon vets, particulary the Egyptian campaign. If anyone is interested in coming, just shoot me an email. There was, to put it nicely, a wide assortment of types of companies within the Battalion. With the limited references we have on what the Battalion actually wore, most French unit uniforms would be appropriate for use. I'm a resident in Chalmette, and any additional participation in the activities would be more than welcome. You can do activities during the day and early evening, and troll the French Quarter all night long, if you have the stamina. :> Look forward to hearing from you,

Hi list, I'm a long time lurker. I've inherited the registration tasks at Chalmette with the NPS for Plauche's Battalion.
