I know a lot of the stuff on this site has to do with events and such but I'd like to bring up a historical subject that might arouse some conversation. That subject is bayonets. I have often read in books on Napoleonic tactics that the bayonet and hand to hand combat in general was rare during the Napoleonic period. I personally disagree, but I'd like to hear other peoples' opinions on the subject
