hi...several questions regarding dolman lace and buttons.officer gold lace is round rope or squarish gold looking worsted wool? is ther additional 1/8 soutache on the outer edge of the main braid that i've seen on other hussard dolmans?what does the flat trim on the sleeves look like? i've seen some very nice (and very expensive) gold on the wyedean web sight.i've also seen some much more affordable trim rfom wooded hamlet.i have what i think is suitable at "sky blue" wool" the is also a very good boot maker not too far from me that knows exactly what "hussar" boots are (complete with wrinkles) i started with the delusion i could make this uniform in 6-8 months...what a laugh!what is the best source for the 5th eme uniform? i've talked ms. edgar,a former 5th trooper in canada, and paul wilder in london about this .both have been most helpful.now i just need a budget to match my ambition. i read you response about colpack construction.it looks fairly easy (comparatively...)..oh,how tall is the plume? 12"? and is the dolman pattern the same as a shell jacket? look forward to hearing from you..
