Excuse me for my little rant....On spurs, I am looking at a Rousselot plate (cuirassiers) and you can clearly see STRAPS ON THE BOOTS. Only the light cavalry had spurs which were driven into the back of the heel. So to all you heavies out there, yes, you must buy straps. As far as ponies go, by the description of Ken Gattrell's
horse, I would say that is NOT a pony. I don't know if Ken Gattrell is a cuirassier or hussar, but I think he missed the point of Jonny's comment. Don't misunderstand us (7eme Hussards), we really do like our heavy brethren. But as the heavies plod along, we shall continue to clear their front, and we shall continue to pursue in their wake. The heavies really are a hoot to be around, but we "lights" just know that they would be in dire straits w/out us. Anyway, I think everyone has had enough of me...I bow to Grande Pere's suggestion....I guess someone is going to have to bring a couple epee's or foils to Old Bedford....
