I hope it is true! We booked to see him in Oliver about a year ago for the Easter holidays, then a few days before we found out he had a bloody hernia! and this was before Russ Abbot stepped in (although we got to see him a bit rehearseing on the backstage tour the following day!) so we only just saw the understudy! For him to do panto would just be a dream come true!(just as long as he didn't have to be pulled out!)
