Ah very interesting gents. It seems a shame, but i guess the economics have to add up! It interests me that some venues (birmingham i think) start mid Dec and run til Feb, whereas others choose to close by 2nd/3rd Jan. Does it not feel a bit strange to still be doing a panto in Feb? Best wishes.
