Hello There! Not sure about the best costume, but the worst- and Peter would have agreed with me whole heartedly- was our attempts to be Christmas Trees!
We had huge heavy costumes made, and then discovered that the lights we wanted to adorn the trees with were not bright enough. We then moved on to strapping a motorcycle battery each to ourselves, and asked Gerry and Kevin from Bodyline to construct the tallest, widest, biggest solid fibre wigs that had ever been, in the shape of christmas trees, weighed down with giant candy canes, tinsel and (excuse me) balls.
We staggered on stage at the Mayflower expecting to stop the show. We entered. The audience stared. The lights dimmed. We lit up and twinkled. The audience stared. We exited to the sound of our own feet. We got stuck in the lift trying to reach the top floor dressing room. We ditched the costumes!
I'll have a think about the best- but for now, come along chaps- what were your Best and Worst costumic creations?
