I am interested to see other people's views on the growing trend of men playing the principal boy part in a number of professional panto's. I think its such a shame that the tradition of the leggy principal girl is dying out.
Is there any particular reason to this?
I understand that panto as we knew it years ago is changing and I'm all for growth, change and modernisation but surely one fundamental part of panto is the traditional princiapl boy played by a leggy lass in fish nets! Why does it have to change?
