Saw this on Friday and agree - terrible. Clive Rowe was the worst culprit in my opinion - a horrible phoned in performance. How such a highly paid star can get away with this is beyond me - it was like he couldn't wait for the curtain to fall. I'm a fan of pace but all his routines were done so fast you missed everything he did. I also saw three Dames in other smaller pantos this weekend - Anthony Stuart Hicks (Colchester), Paul Laidlaw (Stevenage) and Marc Seymour ((Ilford). All three had the audience in the palm of their hands throughout - I wish Mr Rowe would book a ticket and see how it should be done!!
