Posted by Malc Did you use a Dissy of a 1.3 or did you use the 1.6 R Series Maestro (R Series, plugs at rear of engine) which they only made for a short while before changing to the S Series engine (Sparkplugs at the Front).

Found the article on Electronic Ignition very intersting. I have raided a 1.3 Maestro but Im not certain I have the correct Dissy for this conversion (Now I have seen the pictures i know I haven't. BL must have changed Spec's somewhere) The Ignition Module is mounted on the side of the Dissy. The Dissy has a very small upper spindle and is the same as the units fitted to Metro 1.3 with Eleccy Ignition. It is a Lucas unit
