He is still at the shelter, yes.
I found him on the street, so I'm unsure of his exact age, but I estimate him to be around 5 years old.
I have a cat in my home and he got along well with him. He didn't ever show interest in the cat, but my cat would often come and rub up against him while he was laying down, so I know he's good with cats.
And I believe he would do fine with the Shiba. As I said, I worked at two cage-free dog daycare places while I had him and he came with me nearly ever day and he was exceptional. Only ONCE did I ever have problems with him at work (he didn't like a particular yellow lab). He has boarded at one facility while I was on vacation once also and he did fine. I also took him to the Silverlake dog park here in LA frequently and he did fine. He doesn't show any interest in any other dogs, he mostly keeps to himself, but he is extremely well-mannered.
If you would like me to meet you at the shelter, I am okay with that. I typically work mornings and would be able to make it to the shelter in the very late afternoon (maybe 4 pm). This coming week I do work until 5, so it will not be possible for me to meet you Wed, Thurs, or Fri, but any other day is good.
