I'm in Boston, MA. I need to find my jindo a new home. He is food agressive and can be agressive to other dogs, but it always depends on the other dog! He has bitten me several times and most recently it was a bad bite. I can't keep him anymore and I'm afraid that if put in a shelter he would be put down because he can be agressive.
I realize re-homing a dog who has bitten his owner might not be the right solution, but, I think with work and someone who has experience with an agressive dog he would be amazing.
I'm having a realy difficult time trying to figure out what is the right thing to do.
I've been working with him on the food aggression and I'm at a total loss for what to do. I've been able to sit on the floor during feedings, add food to his bowl and hand feed him with no growling or snapping at all. If there is no food bowl, I can hand feed him with no issues as well. I'm not sure what changed within a few days to make him bite, but clearly things aren't working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
