A plea for Sheila and Joey --
My daughter, Lt. Amanda Raulerson, after graduation from West Point, was stationed for a year in Korea. She volunteered at the animal shelter there, where she rescued Joey and Sheila, 2 jindo dogs that had no chance of living had she not taken them in.
Joey had not been out of his cage for at least 3 months and was in bad shape. Sheila had been found with her collar embedded in her neck and had to undergo surgery to remove it, then required IV medication which Amanda administered at home and nursed the two back to robust health. She flew them both back to the US and they are thriving.
Amanda is in flight school learning to be a Medevac helicopter pilot in the Army. She graduates in March and will be stationed in TX and deployed thereafter. She desperately needs our help to keep Sheila and Joey safe while she is away. She needs a place for them for the next 2 years until she can take care of them herself again.
Please let me know if any of you could help and/or spread the word to anyone you know. Amanda has already done so much to serve all of us and has been there for these two when they had no chance to live. Please le me know if anybody has any ideas --
